The Soviet Union

Like the Allies, the Soviets have been enjoying the new peace brought about by the end of the Second War, Yuri's defeat and the Allied/Soviet Alliance. With Yuri safely in custody, Premier Romanov started to set about improving the technology level of the Soviet Union. Then, the merging happened. Romanov needn't have bothered, the technology level improved thanks to the merging, restoring Soviet technologies such as the Cloning Vats and Psychic Sensors, and adding new ones, such as the improved research into radiation and chemical warfare. The bad thing was, Yuri was out again, with a vengeance.

About one month after the escape of Yuri to Antarctica, reports came in of Yuri forces in the Kamchatka Peninsula in Siberia, the Bering Strait near Alaska, and coming in from the north around the Kara Sea. The Red Army mobilised without hesitation, and crushed the attempted invasion. However, what they didn't realise, was that this invasion was but a diversion. Two days later, the city of Novgorod, in Western Russia, was captured by Yuri forces, and quickly fortified. Only a Spy Plane or two has been able to get past to get a glimpse of what is happening. It appears Yuri is using the civilians of Novgorod to power his Bio Reactors, while he uses Novgorod as a staging area to build up the forces needed to assault the Soviet Union.

The Red Army put Novgorod under siege, but that didn't stop Yuri. With ample civilians at his disposal, he had all the resources he needed. Power for his Reactors, and resources for his Grinders.

With the help of North Korea, China and Japan, the Soviet Union hopes to use their aerial units to break Novgorod's walls, and crush the Yuri forces within.
