Soviet Additions

Global Additions:

Cloning Vats
Prerequisite: Battle Lab
Cost: $1200
Primary Usage: Infantry Production
Due to the temporal merging, some past Soviet technology has reappeared in their arsenal. Among this is the Cloning Vat. This functions exactly the same as its Yuri equivalent.
Asset made by: MooMan65

Psychic Sensor
Prerequisite: Battle Lab
Cost: $1000
Primary Usage: Psychic Detection
As with the Cloning Vats, the temporal mess has thrown back the Psychic Sensor to the Soviets. It functions exactly as it did in the original RA2, with the exception of a slight graphical change (pre-release art, glows green).

Upgrade Facility
Prerequisite: Battle Lab
Cost: $1500
Primary Usage: Primary prerequisite for all upgrades
This manufacturing facility is capable of producing modular upgrades for several Soviet structures. This structure is the primary prerequisite for all upgrades. The secondary prerequisite is the upgradeable structure. Most upgrades have a tertiary prerequisite, so keep that in mind.
Asset by: Big Huge Games (from a Rise of Nations screenshot). Buildup and active animation by Spud.

Battle Jeep (New to Beta 3.0)
Prerequisite: War Factory (Replaces Scout Tank)
Cost: $400
Primary Usage: Reconnaissance
Armament: 1x25mm Machine Gun
This unit is a small reconnaissance jeep developed by the Soviets as an equivalent to the Allied Scout Tank. It can carry two passengers, who are able to shoot out of the sides of the jeep. Its small 25mm gun can keep away basic infantry threats.
Asset by: ArgCmdr, cameo is modified Westwood art.

KGB Agent
Prerequisites: Barracks, Battle Lab
Cost: $1000
Primary Usage: Infiltration
Armament: Disguise Kit
The Soviets have now been putting their KGB Agents to good use, using them to infiltrate the enemy bases much in the same way as the Allied Spies.

Country Specific

North Korea
North Korea has pledged its support for the Soviet forces in all three wars, and, following the end of the Second War, has condemned the Allied/Soviet alliance, claiming that they can never work together peacefully. North Korea provides the Air Force of the Soviet Union. They are capable of constructing Stealth Bombers for aerial assaults.

China
China, like North Korea, is not supportive of the Allied/Soviet alliance. They also use aerial units, but in a support role rather than assault. They do not use nuclear missiles, but rather napalm and ion radiation weaponry. Their napalm airstrikes can still decimate a base, and their ion airstrikes can kill enemy units quickly and efficiently.

Japan
Secretly, at the start of the Second War, Premier Romanov smuggled Soviet KGB agents into Japan via the Kamchatka Peninsula in Eastern Siberia. These agents covertly assassinated several key members of the government and civilian population, throwing the country into chaos. The Soviets arrived quickly to help 'restore order'. With the communists in control, Japan quickly withdrew from the Allied forces, keeping the technology they had gained, After the Second War, they started to work on the technology, eventually coming up with the Jumpjet Desolator - a hybrid of the Allied Rocketeer and Iraqi Desolator.

Tesla Cruiser
Prerequisite: Naval Yard
Cost: $1200
Primary Usage: Naval Assault
Country: Russia
Armament: Ship-mounted Tesla Cannon Type 1
The Tesla Cruiser is essentially a naval version of the Tesla Tank. Their weapons are similar, and they both can withstand similar amounts of firepower. The Tesla Cruiser can easily remove naval threats with its Tesla cannons. It can't detect nor attack submarines however, so should be supported by Typhoon subs.

Rad Beam Turret
Prerequisite: Radar
Cost: $800
Primary Usage: Advanced Base Defense
Country: Iraq
Armament: Gamma Rad-Cannon Type 4
As the Germans have developed their own personalised defense system, the Iraqis have done the same. The Rad Beam Turret fires a more powerful type of radiation beam at enemy targets. This replaces the Tesla Coil for Iraq.

Molotov Infantry
Prerequisites: Barracks, Radar
Cost: $350
Primary Usage: Vehicle Assault
Country: Cuba
Armament: Molotov Cocktails
The Cubans have recruited partisan forces into their army now, arming them with Molotov Cocktails, small petrol bombs which can cause quite a bit of damage. They are most effective against tanks and infantry, but can still cause some damage against buildings in groups.

Demolition Terrorist
Prerequisites: Barracks, Radar
Cost: $400
Primary Usage: Unarmed Building Assault / Light Unit Assault
Country: Libya
Armament: Low-yield Nuclear Detonator
The Libyans have taken their nuclear demolition technology to the next level and have created the Demo Terrorist. This unit has a nuclear pack strapped to himself. When he is told to attack anything, like the Demo Truck, he runs up to the thing and detonates, causing heavy damage and spreading nuclear radiation. He is not as effective as the Demo Truck as he has a much smaller nuclear payload and is smaller anyway.

Air Pad
Prerequisites: Conyard, Refinery
Cost: $700
Primary Usage: Aircraft Production
Country: North Korea
The North Koreans and the Chinese provide the Air Force of the Soviets, however it is the North Koreans who provide the flyers in the middle of the battle. The North Korean player is able to construct Fortress Stealth Bombers from this facility. A maximum of 4 can be built per Air Pad.

Stealth Bomber
Prerequisite: Air Pad
Cost: $1400
Primary Usage: Base Assault
Country: North Korea
Armament: Twin Maverick 2 Missile Launchers
The North Korean Fortress Stealth Bomber is basically a souped up and new look Harrier. It is invisible on radar to the enemy and carries 2 Maverick II missiles (the Harrier carries 1) but is slower so as not to reveal itself to enemy radar.

Air Force Uplink
Prerequisite: Battle Lab
Cost: $5000
Primary Usage: Super Weapon Structure
Country: China
The Airforce Uplink links the China player to the PLAAF (People's Liberation Army Air Force), giving them access to their Napalm MiG Airstrike. It replaces the Nuke Silo for China and can be built only once at a time. It can also be upgraded with the Ion MiG Airstrike.

Napalm MiG Airstrike Super Weapon
Prerequisite: Air Force Uplink
Recharge Time: 8 minutes
Primary Usage: Anti-Everything Super Weapon
Country: China
The Chinese provide the support of the Soviet Air Force. The Napalm MiG Airstrike is the main superweapon provided by the Airforce Uplink. It calls in two Chinese Napalm MiGs to drop a special payload on their target. This payload will cause devastating effects and leave behind Napalm, which works like radiation in that it damages units and infantry, but it is more potent and has an orange glow.

Jumpjet Desolator
Prerequisites: Barracks, any Radar structure
Cost: $600
Primary Usage: Unit assault
Country: Japan
Armament: Light Rad-Cannon
The Japanese have improved on the Iraqi Desolator unit by combining it with Allied Rocketeer technology stolen in the Second War. This unit fires a radiation beam at enemy targets. The radiation is slightly weaker than that of a Desolator and the JJ Desolator is unable to deploy to create a Rad Eruption. This unit is very good against infantry and can stand up quite well to vehicles, however it is not as good against buildings and is completely ineffective against Miners.
